Young windsurfers progress at an incredible rate given the right tools for the job. Their rigs need to be light and responsive but also durable enough to handle the rigours of regular sailing and often racing. The Dino is also offered as a complete rig,see here built to the highest specifications, with a quality boom and mast.
A key element is the Dino mast. The sails are designed to twist and “breathe”, absorbing the harshness of gusty winds but if they’re rigged on a stiff mast, all that design work will amount to nothing. Ken Black worked closely with the mast manufacturer to develop special masts, which are both light and soft to match the responsive performance of masts in larger adult rigs.
With its light, balanced feel, the Dino is perfect for youngsters taking their first steps into windsurfing and will progress with them as they venture into stronger winds, racing and high performance windsurfing.
